NC alleges UCPN-M for beating its cadres

Nepali Congress has alleged that UCPN-M cadres had beaten NC cadre, Mana Bahadur Budha, 35, of Dhaulagoha VDC-5 on March 6.

 

Issuing a press statement on March 7 NC District Committee informed about the incident. The statement stated that a group of UCPN-M cadres including village committee members Bishow Kant Pyakurel and Janmadev Neupane had beaten the victim on charge of working against their party.

 

The statement signed by NC District Secretary Harsha Bom informed that 45 cadres of the party were thrashed by UCPN-M cadres earlier. Stating that UCPN-M cadres have been attacking their cadres regularly the statement warned of retaliation if such incidents did not stop immediately. The statement also demanded stern action against perpetrators and appropriate compensation to the victims. However representative of UCPN-M was not available for comment.
