KJWP Cadre Arrested

Police have arrested Shiva Raj Rai, 17, of Nunthala VDC of Khotang district on March 6 on charge of being affiliated with Kirant Janabadi Workers Party. Rai was arrested from Shanti Marg in Triyuga Municipality-2.
Meanwhile, the relatives of persons arrested on charge of being involved in torching of vehicles on March 6 have claimed that the police had tortured the arrestees.
Police arrested Kiran Rai, Parbat Bishta and Arjun Rai for torching the bus with the number plate Ba 2 Kha 383 at Ghumne of Rampur Thoksila VDC-8.
Dev Kumar Tamang of Nunthala VDC-9, Dibaser Rai and Prabin Tamang of ward of 4 of the same VDC were arrested from nearby jungle of the site on charge of setting the bus with the number plate Na 3 Kha 3105 on fire at Chure on Kadamaha-Gaighat section of the road.
District Police Office's DSP Manoj Yadav and Inspector Anil Poudyal denied torturing the arrested persons but accepted slapping them a couple of times.
