Family members of people affected from decade long armed insurgency have appealed INSEC to initiate efforts for providing relief to them.
Stating that they did not receive any support from state until three years of formal end of the decade long armed insurgency, they urged INSEC to initiate efforts for providing them compensation and justice.
Wives of Jokhan Chaudhary of Hasuliya VDC-3, Hiralal Chaudhary of Dhangadhi municipality-7 and Chitra Bahadur Chaudhary, who were killed by state during the period of armed insurgency, and family members of other conflict victims filed application at INSEC Far Western Regional Office on February 4 and urged to assist them for getting justice from the state.
They also informed that other non governmental organizations also did not provide any support to them as they did not get support from the state.
District Administration Office informed that family members of 59 victims received Rs. 100 thousand each from the Office in this fiscal year, while 271 victims received support last year. Of the total 585 victim’s family members filed complaint at the District Administration Office seeking support only 266 people have received such support.
